Kerameikos is the new `Soho` of Athens, with most major historical sites located within a 25-minute walking radius. It is safe, urban, and lively, full of
unique shops, authentic tavernas, cafes, art galleries and so far remains un-touristic. Strolling through Kerameikos in the daytime can also be deceptively low-key. During the day many Greeks go about their day, but at night the many local bars, taverns, and hotspots fill up with mainly an artistic crowd from the surrounding areas. There is a supermarket and deli just 100 meters from the house, with fresh and organic fruits and vegetables, which also sell some hot meals to go!
