Summary: I’m not sure if this is a regional standard or simply the hotel’s policy, but for a 4-star hotel, the lack of even basic amenities was very surprising. There was no kettle, tea or coffee in the room, no conditioner, and no body lotion. It honestly felt very outdated for a hotel in this category. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. There was a lot of variety, but unfortunately almost everything was tasteless. Many items were overly oily, the breads were dry, and even the breakfast coffee was very poor. Cleanliness was another major issue. The public restrooms were dirty almost every time I used them, and on more than one occasion the toilets had literally been left unflushed and soiled. This is simply not acceptable for a 4-star property. The one genuinely positive part of my stay was the staff working on the 3rd floor. They were consistently warm, smiling, helpful and kind, and I really appreciated them. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the rest of the service, which I found largely unhelpful. Overall, the experience fell far below what I would expect from a 4-star hotel, both in terms of amenities and basic standards of food, cleanliness and service.
