This holiday villa is found precisely in front of an almost private small pebbly beach and in the middle of the main protected area for the breeding of the sea turtles Caretta Caretta. It is situated in the seaside village of Stavromenos in a quiet setting with wonderful views to the sea and to the Cretan landscape. It is ideal for a family and friends holiday, offering tranquility and absolute relaxation.
The Villa is composed of two independent modern apartments. Guests will have access and privacy to all areas of the Villa.
The apartment on the 1st floor can accomodate five persons. There are two bedrooms, a living room with a sofa bed, a bathroom with a shower/WC and a balcony with a breathtaking sea view.
The apartment on the ground floor can accomodate 7 people. There are two bedrooms, a living room with 2 couches which can be used as beds, a corner fire place, a kitchenette area with a dining corner and a bathroom with hydro massage column.
The Villa is surrounded by 4000sqm of farmland. The Veranda is just a few meters from the sea.
Children up to the age of 5 years stay free of charge if there are 5 persons over 5 years old.
Stavromenos is a small settlement, 11km away from Rethymno downtown. It is the biggest village of the town. The New National Road from Rethymnon to Iraklion runs between the village and the beach.
The village itself spreads along the Old National Road over a distance of roughly 2 kms. In the village there are some apartment facilities, and during recent years a number of holiday homes to let which enjoy most beautiful views. There are beautiful sandy beaches west as well as immediately east of Stavromenos, in the two neighbouring villages of Sfakaki and Scaleta. On the other hand, the wider supply of shops and catering concentrates in Stavromenos. On two hills above the village there are excavation sites. Several found pieces from here can be viewed in the archeological museum at Rethymnon town. Some of them have been dated to the 5th century BC so they do not belong to the Minoan era, but to the ancient world.
By the sea there is a fully organized beach ideal for families and those who wish to spend relaxing vacation away from the tourist resorts. The sea turtles "Caretta Caretta" visit Stavromenos beach at nights during their nesting season between May and September. There are more excellent sandy beaches between Stavromenos and the town of Rethymnon.
