Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location is amazing, tucked out of the way in a tiny village in the mountains with a perfect sea view. I honestly overall loved our stay here. The jacuzzi with the view is priceless and so relaxing.

Negative: There is a strong damp/moisture smell in the main house but just requires you to open the doors and windows to ventilate the space. However opening the windows/doors allows every fly/insect in Crete to come in. Some mesh screens installed on the windows would allow people to keep the windows open all day and keep it ventilated. Also there is a dog that is allowed to roam free all day and into the night time sometimes barking loudly, while it was well-meaning it also seemed very untrained and would constantly jump up at us and sometimes bite at our ankles etc so I had to keep attempting to use my Dog Whisperer TV show experience and some manhandling to establish some level of control over the situation. My partner is also allergic to dogs so she did suffer a bit during our stay as it kept touching us. It is also very aggressive towards the cats sometimes, especially if you try to put food out for the cats it will sprint towards them and viciously fight them and take all the food. Also the main bed is very small for two people.

Summary: Beautiful place and surroundings
