Summary: I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars because the staff was genuinely wonderful—very nice, welcoming, and helpful. My issues have nothing to do with them. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the hotel is worth the price, and I think people should know why. Our entire room, upstairs and downstairs, had a strong mildew/mold smell. We also noticed visible mold growing in the shower near the drain. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning similar issues, so I really think management needs to have this checked out. It made it difficult to fall asleep at some points. The breakfast had a great variety, but one of the mornings we went, tables weren’t being cleared quickly and the food wasn’t being replenished fast enough. We eventually decided to go eat elsewhere because we’re just standing around waiting. Also, if you’re staying in a two-story room, be aware there’s a skylight with no cover, so the room gets very bright early in the morning. The staff was great, but unfortunately the condition of the room and overall experience didn’t justify the price for us.
