Positive: Excellent location and very good value for money! The accommodation is conveniently located. Fira's central bus station is just a 5-minute walk away, while a small supermarket, cafés and restaurants are only 2–3 minutes away. A beautiful panoramic viewpoint overlooking the caldera is approximately 10 minutes away on foot. At first, we were a room, that unfortunately didn't meet our needs. No window, no, privacy, no proper natural ventilation or light. After we raised concerns about our original room, the host arranged a room change, which we really appreciated. Once we brought the issues to their attention, the host was communicative, attentive and genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable. The second room was much more pleasant. The reason for our relatively high rating is the excellent location, the very reasonable price and, most importantly, the host's willingness to address our concerns and find a solution. Overall, despite the initial inconvenience, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the host's efforts.
Negative: There are some major issues between the Booking.com listing and the actual accommodation. The property is not located at the advertised address, and there is no garden or shared terrace as indicated in the listing. The room we were initially given had no proper window, only a glass door opening directly onto the street, making privacy and natural ventilation difficult. Fortunately, this issue was resolved through a room change. Some basic amenities would improve the experience, such as a proper rubbish bin (there was only a small sanitary bin in the bathroom), glasses, plates, cutlery and basic kitchen equipment. An electric kettle would also be appreciated, especially as one is clearly visible in the photos of the room on Booking.com. The photos also show a window, which was missing from our original room. A chair and some towel hooks or a drying rack would also be useful, as there was nowhere suitable to hang our towels to dry between uses. We did not expect luxury accommodation at this price, but we do believe that the listing should accurately reflect what guests can expect.
