About Aetheras House-
Aetheras means pure, bright air or 'the heavens' in ancient Greek.
Aetheras House has been lovingly constructed with imagination and attention to detail. Most of the work and maintenance of the property is done by my parents and owners Jackie and Giorgos. They have put their heart and soul into making this house the perfect holiday-home for our guests. Local stone and betόn cire plays a dominating role in its design which was inspired by traditional Cycladic architecture as well as being influenced by the presence of the historic Tower of Bologna(dating back to the 1600s) which stands next to it.
My father, George, a native Naxian, maintains the 2 acres of private grounds filled with 170+ olive trees, apricot, fig, pomegranate, lemon and orange trees as well as a vegetable and flower garden. He would be happy to show you around the garden and talk to you about local history- so don't hesitate to chat to him!
Aetheras layout:
Aetheras House is an outstanding holiday home; it is a 2 floor house which accommodates up to 14 guests. On the ground floor you will find:
• 1 double bedroom,
• 2 twin bedrooms (one of which can be used as a 2nd lounge if the beds are not required)
• 2 bathrooms
• A spacious living room with sofa bed
• A large fully equipped kitchen with an open plan dining area
The ground floor also has a large terrace where you can relax, meditate, do some yoga while soaking up unforgettable sunsets.
On the 1st floor
• 1 twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom
• 1 double bedroom
• 1 triple bedroom
• A large bathroom with bath
These 3 bedrooms open out onto 2 magnificent verandas again with spectacular almost 360 degree views of the Aegean and Naxos Town.
Location:
Aetheras House is located just outside of Galanado Village, a 10-minute drive from Naxos Town, port and airport. It is a 5 minute drive to Vivlos (Tripodes) which has a post office , a pharmacy, a bakery, a supermarket plus a few restaurants. Furthermore, it is only a 10-15 minute drive to Naxos’s infamous, golden beaches; Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna, Plaka, Mikri Vigka etc, the choice is yours! For the more adventurous, Naxos's impeccable landscapes and mountainous regions are ideal for hiking, mountain-biking and long walks.
Getting around:
Aetheras House is the perfect location for you to unwind in complete privacy, enjoying peace and serenity while being close enough to the vibrant town of Naxos and its spectacular beaches. We would recommend that you rent a car if you don't have your own; we can book one for you!
Activities:
We will also be happy to help organise activities such as sailing, horse riding, wind or kite surfing, boat and bus excursions, and bike rentals. For the less adventurous, we organise massages, pilates classes, and beauty treatments!
